Israeli soldiers shot dead a Palestinian early Thursday near the settlement of Ganei Tal in the Gaza Strip. Israeli military sources said the soldiers opened fire when the Palestinian tried to crawl toward a military outpost in the area of the settlement.
In a separate incident on Thursday, an RPG projectile was fired at an agricultural hothouse at one Gaza settlement. There were no injuries.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, on Wednesday issued a statement commenting on the latest Israeli massacre in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah that left ten Palestinians dead and scores wounded.
The statement noted that the "enemy forces" had inflicted vast destruction on the city’s buildings, sewage networks in addition to the water, electricity and telephone lines.
"The horrible massacre confirms once again that the only choice for the Palestinian people is to resist at a time when the terrorist Ariel Sharon (Israeli premier) is talking about peace." "The Zionists will pay a high price for their terrorism," the statement added.
Hamas also called on Arab countries to break their silence on the Israeli "massacres," which aim to wipe out the Palestinians, the statement added. (Albawaba.com)
