Israeli forces arrested on Sunday a Palestinian civilian and dynamited two houses in the West Bank cities of Bethlehem and Tulkarem, according to sources.
Security sources in Tulkarem said that Israeli soldiers backed by military jeeps and armoured vehicles stormed the Tulkarem refugee camp and opened heavy machine gunfire at civilians' houses, imposing a tight curfew.
They added that Israeli soldiers launched a house-to-house search campaign into civilian's houses, terrifying inhabitants and arresting a civilian, leading him into an unknown location, WAFA reported.
Meanwhile in Bethlehem, Israeli tanks and armoured personnel carriers backed by US-made Apache helicopters thrust into al-Dheisha refugee camp and took position in the center of the camp.
Witnesses said that Israeli soldiers, using loud speakers, imposed a curfew and closed all the main entrances, preventing civilians from moving in-outside the camp.
Elsewhere in Nablus city, Israeli soldiers broke into a vocational school and turned it into a military post, the agency said.
In the meantime, Israeli soldiers demolished also Sunday several houses in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah, witnesses said.
Witnesses told WAFA that Israeli troops, which stormed “Block G” of Rafah Refugee Camp, demolished scores of civilians’ houses.
In yet another form of escalation, Israeli troops arrested two police officers on there way home from Egypt through Rafah crossing, southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian security sources said.
The sources added that the Israeli troops arrested the two lieutenants, Wafiq Barhoom and Ahmed Ghneim from Khanyounis City while they were on there way home from Egypt. They were taken to an unknown place. (Albawaba.com)
