Israeli security forces arrested eight Palestinians, all reportedly from the Fateh faction, in a village south of the West Bank city of Nablus, said reports.
The eight, from Kefel Hareth village, were arrested for allegedly taking part in anti-Israeli attacks, Israel’s Army Radio reported, cited by the Jerusalem Post newspaper.
The Palestinian news agency, WAFA, said that Israeli troops entered the village and searched for the eight for two hours.
According to Palestinian sources, cited by the Egyptian daily, Al Akhbar, the Israeli occupation troops have arrested more than 1,000 Palestinians between the age of 12 and 25 since the eruption of the Palestinian Intifada last September.
They estimated the total number of Palestinians held in Israeli jails to be between 3,250 and 3,475 – Albawaba.com
