Two Israelis, one of them a security guard, were injured Friday morning in a shooting attack near the West Bank settlement of Itamar.
Initial reports indicate that one was wounded seriously and the second was hurt lightly to moderately after a Palestinian shot at them near the back enterance of the settlement. One of the wounded died later in an Israeli hospital.
The two returned fire and killed the Palestinian man, according to Israeli reports. Fatah claimed credit for this attack.
In the Gaza Strip, Israeli soldiers wounded Friday a child and razed vast areas of agricultural lands in Gaza City, witnesses said. They said Israeli troops stormed al-Zayetoon neighbourhood, amid heavy shooting, wounding a child.
Later, Israeli troops wounded two Palestinian policemen in al-Zayetoon neighbourhood. According to WAFA, the two were identfied as Khader Joha, 21, and Ibrahim ak-Sa’eedi.
Joha was hit in the chest, while al-Sa’eedi was shot with a live bullet in the abdomen. (albawaba.com)
