The Israeli army issued a decree to build a road, for use by Jews only, through parts of the old city of Hebron.
In a statement, Citizens for Fair Legislation (CFL) and the Palestine Right to Return Coalition (Al-Awda) said that building of this Jews-only road is a blatant act of institutionalized discrimination and would result in the theft of land belonging to several Palestinian families and the demolition of their homes, WAFA news agency reported.
"The areas that are slated for destruction by IOF include a Muslim cemetery, the Alsaqawati Muslim Shrine and the Am Aljadeda ,"Water Spring", the statement said.
CFL and AI-AWDA revealed that by building this additional road for use by Jews only on land belonging to Palestinians, the Israelis are creating more Palestinian refugees.
CFL and AI-AWDA concluded that Israeli actions have destroyed the fantasy of a two state solution, and that the only viable solution is a democratic pluralistic state in all of Palestine (present-day 'Israel', the West Bank and Gaza Strip).
