Three Palestinians were shot dead Wednesday night by Israeli occupation soldiers in the southern Gaza Strip.
Shortly after the incident, Israeli military sources said the troops spotted two armed men crawling near the road linking the Kissufim crossing with the Gush Katif settlement area. The troops flooded the area and started chasing the two men, who were joined by another one.
Israeli forces opened fire on a vehicle spotted "fleeing" the area in the direction of Dir el-Balah. Three occupants of the vehicle were killed by the soldiers.
About two hours after the shooting, Palestinian sources said the three were unarmed and were on their way to celebrate Eid al Fitr. Relatives of the killed men stressed the three young cousins were shot as they drove to celebrations for the Eid in the central Gaza Strip.
Indeed, on Thursday morning, the Israeli Army changed its version and admitted that the three Palestinians, who were killed, were not armed.
On early Wednesday evening, a nine-year-old Palestinian boy was shot dead by Israeli troops near the Rafah refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian sources said. According to Palestinians, the boy was killed when Israeli troops directed gunfire at targets adjacent to the Rafah camp on the Egyptian border.
Meanwhile, Israeli troops on Thursday raided the West Bank city of Jenin and imposed a curfew on the refugee camp in Jenin. A Tanzim activist was wounded by Israeli gunfire in the city, Israel Radio reported.
