Israeli officials are taking part in a sports fair in Doha, in the first trip to Qatar by Israeli representatives in three years, an Israeli foreign ministry spokesman said on Tuesday.
"A small delegation headed by the person in charge of the foreign ministry's Middle East economy division is attending an international sport exhibition in Doha at the invitation of the Qatari Olympic Committee," Jonathan Peled told AFP.
"This five-member delegation has a stand there to present Israeli products linked to sports such as medicine, security, media or environment technology," he said.
It was the first time since the year 1999 an official Israeli delegation had visited Qatar, which is due to host the 2006 Asian games, Peled added. (Albawaba.com)
