Israel's Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will Sunday ask his cabinet ministers to approve the details of an emerging deal to prisoner swap deal with Hizbullah, indicating that months of negotiations mediated by Germany could be coming to an end, Sharon's office said Wednesday.

The actual deal has not been finalized, and the Israeli cabinet will only approve the principles of the Israeli proposal.

Israel is ready to free some 400 Arab prisoners in exchange for the release of ex-officer Elhanan Tannenbaum, along with the bodies of three Israeli soldiers, killed by Hizbullah over three years ago.

On late Monday, Hizbullah leader, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah said that "next week" will be critical to securing the deal with Israel. (Albawaba.com)
