Five Palestinians from Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip were wounded, three of them seriously, when a mortar shell exploded Friday, an Israel Radio claimed.
According to security forces, the mortar shell was fired by Palestinians and not the Israeli army.
The Palestinians were trying to fire the shell at a Jewish settlement in Gush Katif, but it exploded as they fired it, injuring them, security forces said, quoted by The Jerusalem Post.
