Israeli troops killed eight Palestinians in clashes in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, including seven from Hamas. In the past three days, 21 Palestinians died by Israeli fire in Gaza Strip. Some two dozen people have also been wounded.
The latest victim was from the Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Fatah movement. His car was struck by a missile in an Israeli air strike, emergency workers said. Another gunman in the car was critically wounded and two passersby were also hurt.
Earlier, an Israeli aircraft fired missiles at Palestinians early Saturday, killing seven and injuring 10, Palestinian security officials said. Three of the dead were identified as members of Hamas, security officials said. Two of the injured were in serious condition. A woman was also among those hurt.
The attack took place east of Gaza City, near the Gaza Strip-Israel border.
More than a dozen Israeli tanks also moved in the area, and Palestinian security officials reported exchanges of fire between the Israeli forces and Palestinian fighters.
Earlier, an Israeli air strike destroyed a house in the southern Gaza town of Rafah, witnesses and medics said.
