At least one Palestinian woman died in an Israeli strike in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday afternoon. Fourteen Palestinians were wounded, including three children.

Palestinian witnesses said the apparent target of the Israeli strike had been a car carrying Palestinian activists but the missile instead struck the house.

Earlier, Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades activist Daoud Katouni, 20, was killed in an exchange of fire with Israeli troops near Nablus, early Wednesday. Two other Palestinian operatives were injured in the incident. Some 12 Palestinians were detained by occupation forces during the West Bank arrest raid.

Meanwhile, the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades called on all its active cells to launch a retaliatory war following the Israeli strike on northern Gaza late Tuesday, which targeted al-Aqsa operatives but killed three Palestinian children.

“We call on all our fighters to act and hit the enemy so that it hurts, in every place, so that it knows that the blood of our martyrs is dear. We declare war on Sderot and on all the Zionist settlements. The Zionists won’t have peace on our land,” an announcement stated.

“We call on all the Palestinian organizations to accelerate activities against the occupier,” the statement said.
