The Foreign Ministers of Iraq's neighboring countries condemned on Sunday the "terrorist" groups in Iraq, which are using Iraqi territories to undermine the security of Iraq's neighbors.‏

In their meeting in Damascus, the foreign ministers have condemned in their statement the "terrorist" attacks targeting civilians, the humanitarian and religious institutions, as well as the ‏

‏international organizations working in Iraq.‏

The foreign ministers of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey, Iran, Egypt ‏and Syria also decided during their 4th consultative meeting to support the efforts ‏of the Iraqi Governing Council (IGC) until an Iraqi government is elected.‏

Earlier, the foreign ministers decided to invite Iraq to participate in their two day meetings in Damascus.

An invitation has been extended to Iraq through a phone call with Iraq’s Foreign Minister to attend the meeting, the statement said. (Albawaba.com)
