Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister Tareq Aziz received Patrick Morio, Secretary of international relations in the Socialist Party and Head of the Belgian delegation, which is currently taking part in the 7th meeting of the Follow Up and Coordination Committee of the Baghdad Conference.
Morio affirmed the necessity of enhancing efforts in Belgian public opinion and Parliament to put an end to the Iraqis’ suffering and to lift the unjust embargo, according to a Saturday Iraq News Agency report.
For his part, Aziz appreciated the Belgian parliament's stance and role in issuing a decision calling for lifting the embargo on Iraq. In addition, he focused on the need to advance bilateral parliamentary ties between the countries. (Albawaba.co
