Iran’s President Mohammad Khatami is expected to arrive in Islamabad Monday, at the head of a high-ranking delegation on a three-day visit to Pakistan, an official statement said.
The Iranian leader will hold talks with President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Jamali on bilateral, regional and international topics, according to SPA news agency.
Moreover, Khatami is due to sign a number of agreements to promote cooperation in various fields, the statement added.
"The visit reaffirms the warm reciprocal sentiments of brotherhood and friendship existing between Pakistan and Iran," the statement further said. (Albawaba.com)
