Iran's Secretary of the Guardian Council (GC) Ahmad Jannati on Friday termed as "empty" the promises offered to Iran over its nuclear energy program, stressing that the Iranians will never believe those promises.
Jannati, in a sermon at Tehran Friday prayers, said the Iranian nation will remain determined in its efforts to attain nuclear technology, and refreshed pledges that Tehran will never give up those efforts.
"The nuclear talks are about to reach the final point. But the Americans want to stop Iran's enrichment activities and deprive us of it forever," he told worshipers at the campus of Tehran University, according to IRNA. "And they are pressuring the Europeans, as well."
