Tunisian Ambassador to Tehran Moldi as-Sakeri conferred in Tehran on Tuesday with Presidential Advisor for Women's Affairs Zahra Shojaei on expansion of Iran-Tunisia relations in improving women's status in both countries, reported the Iranian official news agency (IRNA).

Underlining the need for expansion and deepening of mutual cooperation, Shojaei said that Tehran and Tunisia can jointly play a determining role in introducing a satisfactory model for women's political cooperation mainly among the Islamic states.

Women's status in Tunisia and the country's attention to women's activities has transformed it into an exemplary country among other states in North Africa, Shojaei said.

The Tunisian ambassador, for his part, underlined the need for further expansion of mutual cooperation and called for provision of a written time table for implementation of the already agreements signed between the two countries on women related issues. (Albawaba.com)
