Iran and Syria signed in Tehran on Wednesday a memorandum of understanding on bilateral cooperation in the areas of water resource management, providing technical and engineering services, and implementation of water projects, reported the official Iranian news agency(IRNA).
The document was signed by Iran’s Minister of Energy Habibollah Bitaraf and Syrian Irrigation Minister Taha Al Atrash.
The two officials stressed the importance of promoting modern irrigation methods, river engineering, education and joint studies on issues related to water and irrigation systems, said the agency – Albawaba.com
