Iranian military forces on Sunday launched military exercises in the northern Arabian Gulf port city of Bushehr, state radio reported.
It said the Shahmat-80 (Courage-80) maneuvers aim at "coordinating the different units of the voluntary Islamic Basij forces within the Revolutionary Guards corps," or Pasdaran.
The forces will "evaluate their abilities in using arms and military equipment," state radio added without specifying how many days the exercises are scheduled to last -- TEHRAN (AFP)
