On Tuesday, Pakistan and Iran decided to hold joint military maneuvers to enhance bilateral defense relations, an official from the foreign office said in Islamabad.

President General Pervez Musharraf and his Iranian counterpart, Mohamed Khatami met Tuesday and discussed holding the largest ever-military maneuvers between both countries, according to Kuwait’s news agency.

The official added that the joint exercises would be held early next year and that the dates would be finalized by mutual consultations between the two countries.
