Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Hassan Rowhani on Friday viewed "positive" a likely American role in the political and nuclear negotiations between Europe and Iran. Asked by a German reporter about the latest US-European rapprochement efforts on Iran's nuclear program, Rowhani said," Our negotiation partners are the three European countries. Of course if the Americans help in this issue, it could be positive from our point of view."
A high-ranking German official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, confirmed earlier Friday to IRNA that major progress had been made in the rapprochement between America and Germany on how to proceed in the ongoing nuclear talks with Iran.
