Iran and Japan signed Saturday a bilateral agreement to boost the cooperation in archaeology within the framework of the Iranian-Japanese cultural cooperation, reported the official Iranian news agency (IRNA).
The agreement was signed in Tokyo by Iran's deputy head of the cultural heritage organization, Jail Golshan, and Japanese head of the Mideast department of the scientific research center, Kiohiko Sakourai.
Under the agreement, the two sides would conduct joint archaeological investigations to further identify the cultural and civilization of each other, said IRNA.
