ALBAWABA - One person suspected of working for the Israeli national intelligence service, Mossad, as an espionage agent and sabotage mastermind was put to death in Iran.

Iranian state media has confirmed that another person accused of espionage has been executed. The person who was executed was reportedly preparing sabotage actions against a Ministry of Defense-affiliated research facility in the province of Isfahan last year, in addition to carrying out Mossad espionage activities. The person who was executed has not been identified, but it was said that they were thought to have planned an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assault on the research facility.

This most recent execution comes after four others were put to death in Iran in January on suspicion of engaging in espionage and sabotage operations on behalf of Mossad. The defendants were found guilty of attempting to bomb an Isfahan factory operated by the Defense Ministry in 2022.

The Iranian government accused the four executed individuals—Vefa Henare, Aram Omeri, Rahman Perhazo, and Nesim Nemazi—of collaborating with Mossad to disrupt the country's security, aiming to create turmoil and conflict on Earth through intelligence cooperation with the Zionist regime (Israel). The execution took place in the morning following the completion of the judicial proceedings.

This event raises questions about the geopolitical tensions in the region and the alleged involvement of foreign intelligence agencies in activities that impact Iran's national security.
