Iran and Canada signed cooperation agreements in the fields of agriculture and irrigation during a visit to Ottowa by an Iranian delegation, reported the official Iranian news agency (IRNA).
The delegation, headed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Jihad Mohammad Hossein Shariatmadari, visited some centers of irrigation research and land reclamation located in Saskatoon and Regina cities, as well as the University of Saskatchewan's Gene Bank.
“During the visits, the Iranian delegation became familiar with the latest findings in the field of improving plants, fighting plant pests, transporting and keeping plants as well as oil extraction processes,” said Shariatmadari.
