ALBAWABA - A source in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that Iran is planning to change the way it does military activities by using more advanced long-range missiles.

The source, who was quoted by Iran's Fars News Agency, said that Tehran might soon start using missiles that haven't been used much in the current war. The planned shift could be a big change in Iran's policy at a time when tensions between the country and Israel and the US are rising.

The same source says that Iran's infrastructure for making missiles is still fully functional, even though military sites across the country are still being attacked. He made it clear that the designing and making of missile systems are going on at the same time on several different assembly lines.

Also, the source said that many of the rockets Iran used in recent attacks were older models made between 2012 and 2014. He said that more recent missile systems have mostly been kept in reserve and have only been used a few times so far.

Meanwhile, airstrikes are still being carried out inside Iran by both U.S. and Israeli forces as part of a larger military operation to weaken the country's missile and defense systems.

Reports say that Israel and the US have fired more than 8,500 projectiles at Iranian territory since the war began. It is said that U.S. troops alone have attacked about 2,700 sites.

According to the most recent comments from the IRGC source, Tehran may be getting ready for a long-lasting conflict, where more advanced weapons will likely play a bigger part.
