INTERCONTINENTAL SEMIRAMIS APPONITS NEW DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING

The world’s largest global hotel operator InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the appointment of Peter Gooch as the new Director of Sales & Marketing for the Semiramis InterContinental hotel.

Bringing over 19 years of hotel experience, Gooch was overjoyed by his new role. “Being of Egyptian descent it is wonderful to be instated in this position both professionally and personally. I am very much looking forward to the challenges that this new role will present as well as exploring Cairo and the whole of Egypt.” Enthused Gooch.

Chris Moloney, Chief Operating Officer, InterContinental Hotels Group Middle East and Africa, said: “We are thrilled to have a seasoned professional such as Gooch in charge of the hotel while we finalize refurbishment plans. Looking forward, it is going to be a dynamic time for the hotel and we are pleased to have such a committed team member in such a coveted position.”

Gooch began his career in 1987 with the Savoy Group PLC and has worked for InterContinental previously in London as well as the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC. A Fellow of The Hotel & Catering and International Management Association and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Gooch is married with one child.
