Infiniti today announced that its redesigned Infiniti G Sedan has achieved a dramatic increase in both sales and popularity across the region. January 2007 marked the highest number of Infiniti G Sedan sales since its initial launch in 2004, recording an increase of 219% over January 2006 sales.
“Sales of the new G Sedan have been on a constant rise since the launch of its 07 year model in November 2006, exceeding our expectations and registering a record number of orders from customers throughout the region” commented Mustansir Lakdawala, Infiniti Brand Manager at Infiniti Middle East. “Infiniti’s core values of design and performance have clearly attracted customers; reflecting in huge demand and registered bookings in Infiniti showrooms across the region and we are extremely pleased at the sales results achieved so far.”
The second generation of Infiniti’s G Sedan features a completely redesigned exterior and interior, as well as a refined VQ-series 24-valve 3.5-liter DOHC V6, producing a total of 327bhp and 38.6 Kg-m torque, mated to an advanced electronically controlled 5-speed automatic transmission with Downshift Rev. Inside, the G Sedan features a unique ‘Washi’ finish, rearview monitor and a custom-made unique Bose® audio system with an audiophile quality head unit incorporating a parcel shelf-mounted subwoofer.
The new Infiniti G Sedan has registered a number of global successes, being named to Automobile Magazines’s 2007 All-Star list. Car and Driver boasts about the G Sedan’s “world-class gearbox,” while AutoWeek exclaims “more of what made the original G35 special.” Car and Driver names the G Sedan’s gearbox “the personification of precise engagement… a swell sequence to a first act that was very strong.”
Infiniti Middle East’s lineup includes the full-size QX56 SUV, the Q45 and M Sedan, FX35 Cross-Over and the G35 Sedan and Coupe.
