Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a leader in consumer electronics, once again took centre stage at GITEX as it unveils an innovative array of AV, IT and mobile products.

Living up to its commitment to bringing the latest cutting-edge technologies to the Middle East region, Samsung Electronics, the global digital technology leader, offers visitors a complete, first hand digital convergence experience at this year's edition of GITEX.

The Samsung booth, located in Hall 5A, has been designed to provide consumer an in depths overview of its 'Imagine the possibilities' theme giving a full insight into future technologies.

For this largest information technology event in the Middle East, Samsung Electronics showcases cutting edge products at the heart of Home Entertainment, Information Technology and Mobile Entertainment. These innovative products included latest Plasma TVs, the first Blu-ray disc player for the Middle Eastern Market, the smallest laser printer in the world, a wide variety of products for mobile phones and an entirely new concept MP3 player.

Samsung is also introducing for the first time its range of notebooks emphasizing on the world’s first SSD notebook PC and the Ultra Mobile PC – world’s first UMPC.

At GITEX visitors will be able to see and experience an extensive portfolio of products for Home Entertainment and Mobile Entertainment. Highlights include:

• The FilterBright PlusTM Plasma TV utilizing the ‘black panel’ and FilterBrightTM technologies. With Samsung’s new Plasma TV PS50P7HD/PS42P7HD, viewers can enjoy the most vivid picture quality under any lighting conditions.
• Full HD LCD TV that boasts high picture quality, advanced features and elegant design. It offers a brighter, more dramatic picture with the super High Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 6,000:1. This model realizes the best picture quality and perfectly complements the Blu-ray disc player by supporting full HD resolution (1920x1080p).
• A new concept’s MP3 player, the YP-K5, lets consumers share their music experience with others by using a slide-out speaker.
• The world’s first commercial Blu-ray disc player, the BD-P1000, lets consumers take full advantage of High-Definition displays, playing content at native 720p, 1080i and even 1080p video resolutions.
• Samsung’s modish and trendy HT-XQ100 is an EISA award winner with the revolutionary USB Host function and HDMI output.
• The CLP300, the smallest and lightest color laser printers in its class, weighing only 30 pounds and featuring a diminutive footprint of 15.4" w x 13.5" d x 10.4" h.
• The SyncMaster 971P, our latest monitor, lets users focus more on the contents of the screen by covering half of the unique “S” shaped stand, giving the impression that the monitor is floating in the air.
• Samsung’s P310 offers superior portability with mere 8.5mm in thickness. Resembling a simple and clean credit card, the P310’s modern design is sure to attract the fashion-conscious and working professionals.
This is in addition to product displays, Samsung will offer a Samsung Mobile Fun Club stand that will host fun-filled activities including downloading of audio and video clips onto Samsung mobile phones, and an Asian Game booth where visitors will be given the opportunity to obtain information on the upcoming Asian Games in Qatar.
