I magazine announced the launch of it's frst issue on the 31st of July 2005, at a colourful event held at the Kempenski Hotel. Invitees included diplomats, dignitaries, key members of the private and public sector, and the media.

I magazine is a unique concept, with content, and photography that describes and examines the many different facets of Jordan in a creative and insightful manner. One of the important features, in this young and state-of-the-art magazine, will be the showcasing of the rich talent of the internally renowned, award winning photographer 'Zohrab', portraying through his images, a voyage of discovery of Jordan - a land filled with history and untapped potential.

The realization that Jordan truly needed a magazine about the country, was the driving force behind I. It's format was created to embody the essence and the spirit of Jordan in a unique compilation of features that are fresh, interesting, new and most of all original in content and context, with themes ranging from Jordanian archeology, art and culture to the diverse panorama of both the known and unknown in Jordan.

In another first I magazine intends to become an engine that brings about social and environmental change within the country by bringing to light the wide-ranging local talent - be it art, music, literature, dance, crafts…transcending barriers of economic and social status.  Given the comprehensive nature of I, the magazine also hopes to be Jordan's tourism ambassador to the rest of the world.  To add international experience

and expertise to the magazine, I has teamed up with Tenforward UK who provide consultancy services on all aspects of its development.

"Initial market research indicates that consumers in Jordan are hungry for a more intellectual and pictorial magazine that focuses on the country's unique place in the world.  Coupled with this need, the recent proliferation of 'lifestyle' magazines has caused a dilution of consumer interesting that particular buyer segment.  I is uniquely placed to take advantage of these current market conditions, giving it a captive audience," said Ms. Sangeetha Shinde Tee Managing Editor, I magazine.
