With the popularity of broadband access services and the launch of high bandwidth services such as Video on Demand, Internet games and IPTV, optical fiber access represents the future of fixed access networks. The Huawei Terabit FTTx solution is a high bandwidth optical fibre solution that supports GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) and VDSL2 (Very-High-Bit-Rate Digital Subscriber Line 2 – an access technology that can work on existing infrastructure of copper wires) to deliver flexible services.
