HSBC has named Mrs Shameema Bervin as the United Arab Emirates winner of the MasterCard “Together Wherever” travel promotion launched by MasterCard in June earlier this year. The promotion entitled MasterCard cardholders to enter a monthly raffle draw for every transaction charged to their MasterCard card, from 7 June to 30 September 2005.   Mrs Bervin received US$20,000 credited to her HSBC MasterCard card account.

“We are delighted that a credit cardholder from HSBC has won MasterCard’s regional promotion,” said Mrs Kamala Iyer, Regional Manager Business Development, Credit Cards HSBC.  “Credit Cards from HSBC offer significant added value to cardholders, together with convenience and financial flexibility for they can be used at more than 23 million outlets around the world.”

“MasterCard is pleased to be able to offer its cardholders the chance to win with our ‘Together Wherever’ promotion,” said Karen Hargreaves, Director Marketing, MasterCard International, Middle East and North Africa. “MasterCard worked closely with our customer financial institutions to develop this promotion and we have been thrilled by the response.

As a global payments leader, MasterCard is committed to helping financial institutions launch campaigns which enhance MasterCard card usage and give consumers priceless benefits when they use their MasterCard card for everything that matters. We join HSBC Bank in sending our congratulations to Mrs Shameema Bervin,” Ms Hargreaves added.
