ALBAWABA - A Houthi missile attack targeted a Dutch-flagged cargo ship in the Gulf of Aden on Monday, causing fire on board, and leaving two members injured.

Authorities revealed that the cargo ship crew were forced to leave the vessel after the missile attack by the Yemeni group, the Associated Press reported Monday.

Houthis also failed to hit the ship called "Minervagracht" when they targeted it on Sept. 23, in the Gulf of Aden, which links the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

The ship was carrying 19 workers, and they were all evacuated by a helicopter.

Spliethoff, the ship’s owner, said that the strike caused "substantial damage."

The French military's Maritime Information Cooperation and Awareness Center confirmed that the Houthis were behind the attack. The Houthis usually delay claiming responsibility for attacks for hours or days.
