ALBAWABA - The Arab summit, including the Presidents of Arab nations, Iran, Turkey, and Indonesia, convened today on November 11, 2023, to discuss the ongoing genocidal massacres perpetrated by the occupation forces against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.
The leaders addressed the blatant violations of international laws, human rights organizations' principles, and war crimes committed by the occupiers. The discussions also encompassed the use of internationally prohibited weapons and the severing of all essential supplies, including food, water, and medical aid, to civilians in the affected regions. The summit emphasized the urgency of addressing the humanitarian crisis resulting from these atrocities, condemning the Israeli occupations' actions and calling for international intervention to hold them accountable for their grave violations.
The Palestinian President:
The Palestinian President addressed the ongoing crisis in Gaza, reporting that more than 40,000 people, predominantly children and women, have been killed or injured by occupation forces. He emphasized the rejection of military solutions, called for international support, and urged the Security Council to grant full membership to the State of Palestine. Additionally, he demanded a resolution of the refugee issue and expressed readiness for legislative and presidential elections across all Palestinian territories.
The Jordanian King:
In his address, decried the heinous war in Gaza, highlighting injustices dating back decades and stressing the imperative of a two-state solution. He called for an immediate ceasefire, warned against the catastrophic conditions in Gaza, and condemned the prevention of vital supplies to the region, labeling it a war crime.
The Egyptian President
Addressing the summit, condemned inhumane practices against Gaza's population, called for an immediate, unconditional ceasefire, and demanded a settlement based on the two-state solution within 1967 borders. He warned that the failure to stop the war in Gaza could lead to its expansion and advocated for an international investigation into occupation forces' violations.
The Turkish President:
The Turkish President expressed the inadequacy of words to describe the brutal targeting of civilians in Gaza, criticized Western countries' silence, and called for continuous humanitarian aid. He emphasized the need for accountability for Israel's actions, urging examination by the Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court.
Iranian President:
The Iranian President, speaking at the emergency Arab summit, condemned the Zionist entity's comprehensive attack on Gaza as a violation of international humanitarian law. He pointed to Israeli crimes, including the killing of civilians and the bombing of hospitals, stating that the international community has a responsibility before God to address the situation in Gaza. He criticized the United States for being a partner in Israel's actions, accusing it of prioritizing the Zionist entity over the lives of thousands of oppressed individuals. The President asserted that the U.S. not only encourages Israel's criminal behavior but actively engages in the war on Israel's behalf, sending daily shipments of significant arms. He highlighted the detrimental role of the United States in nullifying the effectiveness of international organizations and expressed concern about Israel's aims to strengthen control over the region.
Amir of Qatar:
The Amir of Qatar, addressing the summit, called for an immediate international inquiry into allegations and claims used to justify the bombing of hospitals in Gaza. He criticized the international community for failing to stop massacres and put an end to the aggressive war in Gaza. Expressing concern over the dangers posed by the situation in Gaza at various levels, he questioned how long Israel would be treated as a state above international law. The Amir noted the increase in immunity towards civilian casualties and the bombing of hospitals and shelters before the war. He called for permanent, safe humanitarian corridors for aid delivery, demanded an urgent humanitarian ceasefire, and condemned the targeting of health facilities, urging more than mere condemnation and denial. The Amir emphasized the necessity of taking deterrent steps to halt the aggression and questioned how long Israel would be allowed to violate international laws with its ongoing, endless war against the indigenous people. He reiterated the call for a comprehensive and final solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with international resolutions, highlighting Israel's refusal to recognize the rights of the Palestinian people.
