ALBAWABA - The Ministry of Interior and National Security in the Gaza Strip announced this morning, Monday, the death of Lieutenant Colonel Mahmoud Al-Astal, the head of the Khan Younis police investigations department, after he was shot.
The ministry said in a press statement that "security forces are investigating the shooting incident that targeted the head of the Khan Younis police investigations department a short while ago in the Al-Mawasi area, which resulted in his death."
The Gaza Strip has witnessed similar crimes and assassinations in recent months, carried out by gangs and militias loyal to the occupation.
The ministry also mentioned that the assassination of Mahmoud Al-Astal was carried out by agents of Israek, and the security services are working to track down the perpetrators.
