Head of GIA seized in massive anti-terror swoop

A massive anti-terror operation launched by Algerian security forces has resulted in the arrest of the so-called ‘emir’ of the GIA Algerian Islamic terrorist organization, Boudiafi Noureddine, alias Noureddine, as well as 250 weapons according to the Algerian Interior Minister on Monday.

 

The GIA is considered to part of the global jihad against the West and most current Arab regimes and many of its members were also important players in the Algerian civil war and are credited with the deaths of thousands of people.
