ALBAWABA - In a press conference in Beirut  held today, Hamas addressed the current situation in the Gaza Strip, marking the twenty-second day since the onset of the conflict. The key points highlighted in the conference include:

Resilience Against Israeli Forces: Hamas and the Palestinian resistance factions emphasized their determination in repelling Israeli ground advances. They reported direct clashes with the Israeli army, resulting in significant losses to soldiers and tanks.

Gaza's Resolve: The speakers reiterated that Gaza will always stand as a formidable barrier to invaders. They emphasized that the era of Israeli arrogance without accountability has come to an end.

Deterrence Image: Hamas stated that the Israeli army would not be able to restore its deterrence image following its defeat on October 7.

Allegations of Military Use of Hospitals: Hamas strongly denied recent claims by the Israeli army that Hamas was using the Al-Shifa Medical Complex for military purposes. They deemed these allegations as part of Israeli propaganda to justify attacks on health facilities and atrocities against civilians and medical staff.

Communication and Internet Blockage: The conference highlighted the deliberate cutting off of communication and internet services in Gaza, which aims to conceal the truth and hinder media coverage of the ongoing crimes.

Call for International Aid: Hamas called on the international community, especially Arab and Islamic nations, to implement the General Assembly's resolution promptly, providing fuel and relief materials to Gaza's civilians.

Rafah Crossing and Blockade: They stressed the need to open the Rafah crossing and confront Israeli arrogance.

Targeting Hospital Vicinities: The conference condemned the targeting of areas near hospitals, leading to the displacement of residents from north to south and eventually to Egypt's Sinai.

War Crimes and Mass Murder: Hamas denounced the withholding of fuel and the cutoff of water and electricity, considering them war crimes that would lead to a catastrophic situation in the already blockaded Gaza Strip.

Global Responsibility: They held the US administration and Western countries supporting the aggression responsible for the ongoing conflict and its impact on defenseless civilians.

Call for International Pressure: Arab and Islamic countries were urged to take necessary measures to exert pressure on the US and countries sponsoring the Israeli aggression.

Diplomatic Expulsion: Hamas reiterated its demand for the expulsion of Israeli diplomats from countries maintaining relations with Israel.

Fake Accounts: Lastly, they criticized the creation of fake accounts in the name of Hamas and its leaders, intended to confuse Arab and Muslim populations.
