A road show to promote the Sultanate of Oman as a unique and an attractive tourist destination was held in prominent German cities last week.
Gulf Air, in association with Oman's Tourism Board, took the road show to Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt and Munich and showcased the sultanate’s tourist attractions together with its refurbished and remodelled First Class and Business Class cabins on its A340 fleet to prominent tour operators, travel agencies and key business contacts in these cities.
"Oman is a great tourist destination what with its unique geographical features, miles and miles of beautiful sandy beaches and rich wadis," says Gulf Air Vice President Marketing and Sales Lee Shave.
"As the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman, we are pleased to join hands with the Tourism Board of Oman to present Oman as well as Gulf Air's award-winning inflight services and products to the German market.
"We have invested about US$10 million to present a new standard of luxury, comfort and space on our A340 fleet so that our premium passengers get a whole new travel experience while flying Gulf Air."
The refurbished First Class SkyBeds offer passengers the unsurpassed luxury of a fully functional bed with a pitch of 80 inches, complete with sheets, duvets, pillows silk cushions, pyjamas, eye shades and socks in a private cabin space of just eight seats.
The Business class seats are no less; with a seat pitch of 73 inches and bed length of 180 cms passengers can expect almost similar comfort and luxury of the First Class seats.
Gulf Air operates a daily A340 service between Muscat and Frankfurt via Bahrain.
