Qatar’s Gulf Air has recorded a 6.9 percent increase in cargo uplift in the first quarter of 2001, reported the Gulf Times newspaper Sunday, citing an airline release.
"The increase in cargo movement was achieved through a drive launched by Gulf Air to improve market penetration in Asia - Pacific and on routes between Europe and the Far East," it said.
Gulf Air carried 41,095.6 tons of revenue cargo on its passenger planes between January and March compared to 38,440.8 tons in the corresponding period last year, said the release – Albawaba.com
