An official source at Sana'a university in Yemen declared that a group of students and armed people, not belonging to the University have broken into the Jammal Abdull Naser Hall, broke the main north gate and interior doors and shot at the guards of the university.

They subsequently held activities never permitted by the University’s Administration. In addition, they claimed to belong to the University Students Syndicate.

The source indicated that their claims of belonging to the students syndicate are “baseless” and the syndicate they are claiming to be part of is illegal, because there were no official elections held.

The university source condemned the fierce behavior of the students and their plans to bring armed people from outside the university, an action which surely “deforms the fame of the university” as a sacred educational place embracing negotiations, peaceful dialogues away from hostility and political competitions, the official Yemen News Agency SABA reported Thursday.

The source demanded the concerned authorities to take prompt procedures against the people for committing such aggressions and unreasonable partisan competitions. (albawaba.com)
