Gillette Jeep winner drawn from 17,000 entries

Blue II Excel, Gillette’s advanced disposable razor, ended its limited edition Jeep Wrangler competition in a random draw on Sunday with the lucky winner, Imad Adeeb Makhoul, an engineer from Syria, picking up his new ride.

The two month long promotion had an exceptional response since its launch on August 1st, 2006, with over 17,000 entrants. Blue II Excel users across the region were given the chance to win the limited edition Jeep Wrangler, in addition to several other prizes when they purchased packs of Blue II Excel and Foamy.

“This initiative was designed for all disposable blade users so that they could have the opportunity to try out Blue II Excel’s superior shave and have the chance to win a unique prize,” explained Ahmad El Mahdy, Brand Manager, Gillette Blades & Razors.

The competition not only gave consumers the opportunity to win but was designed to communicate the added benefits of Blue II Excel’s new aloe strip, improved ergonomic handle and spring mounted blades. Blue II Excel not only provides a firmer grip for a safer shave but the spring mounted blades adapt to the natural contours of the face to provide a smooth, attractive and invigorating shave.

The Jeep Wrangler is the perfect partner for Blue II Excel users, with its coil-spring suspension for a better ride and handling. The limited edition Blue II Excel Sport version also includes next generation driver & front passenger airbags to provide the safest ever Wrangler ride.

The Blue II Excel team hint that there will be more campaigns in the coming months and with the success of the Jeep promotion there should be plenty to look forward to.
