The GCC Foreign Ministers Council holds its 87th session in the Saudi Red sea city of Jeddah Monday with Kuwait represented by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Acting Minister of Finance and Planning Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.

GCC diplomatic sources told KUNA news agency that this meeting is especially important, following recent regional developments and tensions as well as increasing efforts to counter global “terrorism” following the Riyadh blasts.

The Foreign Ministers are expected to discuss political and economic developments, with the situation in Iraq and the occupied Palestinian territories topping the agenda, according to the sources. (Albawaba.com)
