Two Hamas men were killed in an Israeli missile strike on their car on a main road in eastern Gaza City on Saturday evening, witnesses and a Hamas source said. Witnesses said four bystanders were wounded in the attack.
The Hamas source identified one of victims as Mehdi Jamal Mushtaha, 35, a member of Hamas military wing. The second was identified as PKhaled Ramadan al Amriti.
Witnesses said an Israeli helicopter fired a missile at their car.
This air strike came shortly after an air strike in the Jabalia refugee camp, in which three people were killed. Witnesses said a drone had hovered over the area minutes earlier.
Earlier, Israeli forces killed four Palestinians carrying Kalashnikov rifles who had crossed the Israeli border with Gaza Strip into the western Negev, Israeli reports said.
The Palestinians' infiltration triggered the fence's alarm system, and security forces were rushed to the area, the reports added.
The group of Palestinians and Israeli soldiers exchaned fire in the area and were shot and killed by the troops.
Three other Palestinians were killed and four others were wounded in the early hours of Saturday when an Israeli helicopter fired at a crowd of people near the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian hospital officials and witnesses.
Witnesses said the dead were wearing uniforms of the Islamic Jihad.
Medical sources in the Shifa hospital in Gaza city Saturday declared the death of Eid Afana after suffering serious wounds in the Israeli bombing of civilians east of Jabalia last week. An Israeli helicopter had fired a missile at a group of civilians on Wednesday.
Also Saturday, a Palestinian man was killed Saturday when Israeli forces stationed in the vicinity of the "Rafih Yam" settlement opened heavy machineguns at houses to the west of the city. Medical sources in Abu Yousef Al-Najjar hospital identified the victim as Mohammed Atwa Al-Hashash.
On Friday, 12 Palestinians were killed and scores were wounded in the Jabalia camp by Israeli soldiers.
Two occupation troops were injured Friday night, one lightly and the other lightly to moderately, from an explosive device fired toward them in Jabalia. (albawaba.com)
