Israeli occupation troops killed Monday a Palestinian woman in al-Qarara town, south of the Gaza Strip, witnesses and Palestinian official sources said. They told WAFA that soldiers opened fire at houses in the area and killed Ghalya Younis.
Security sources added that Younis, 55, was killed when Israeli troops hit al-Qrara with heavy machine gun. Several houses were also damaged during the attack, security sources said.
Later, a 12-year-old Palestinian girl was shot dead in the city of Kahn Younis. Sara Mahmoud Zuorb hit by a bullet in the chest when troops, deployed in the settlement of "Gadid", opened fire on civilian houses, Palestinian medics said. Witnesses said it was unclear why the Israeli troops had fired as there were no clashes under way at the time of the shooting. Two other civilians were wounded.
In the same area, soldiers wounded Monday morning a Palestinian man. Local sources told WaAFA that Israeli soldiers stationed around Neveh Dekalim settlement opened heavy machine gunfire at houses. They added that a Palestinian was moderately wounded and taken to Hospital.
Earlier, on Sunday night, 12 civilians, including five children, were wounded after having been shot by Israeli gunfire in the city of Khan Younis, witnesses and medics said.
