Global logistics and shipping company GAC has extended its sponsorship of South African professional Richard Sterne for further two years, following the successful collaboration which started in 2004.
The sponsorship deal was sealed yesterday between Bill Hill, GAC Group Vice President, Logistics Services and Andrew [Chubby] Chandler, former European Tour Golfer and Founder of International Sports Management Limited, at the GAC Corporate Headquarters in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
Sterne is in Dubai to participate in the Dubai Desert Classic. Since clinching his maiden title in the 2004 Open de Madrid, Sterne continues to compete on the European Golf Tour. He came in third at the Scandinavian Master last year, and was ranked sixth at the Telkom PGA, South Africa.
“Our continued support in Richard Sterne will enable us to further widen our global brand visibility and relevance to customers, partners, suppliers and employees,” commented Hill.

As brand ambassador, Sterne will attend and support GAC corporate golf events as well as appear in international tournaments under the GAC banner.
