Dubai police said they have arrested a UAE national man who opened fire at random and exploded his own rented car near the Hard Rock restaurant near Dubai late Friday night, reported the Emirati official news agency (WAM), citing a police statement.
The Police said in a statement that the night patrol arrested the man Saeed Obeid Mohammed Al Yamahi, 22, disarmed him and took him for interrogation.
No one was hurt in the incident. The police said that it seemed that Yamahi was a drop out student who was frustrated about the termination of his military scholarship earlier this year. Police said that Yamahi claimed that the gun belonged to his father who died in March 2001.
