French-Moroccan Alliance inaugurates new offices in Essaouira

The French-Moroccan Alliance has recently inaugurated its new headquarters, located in the Moroccan South-western city of Essaouira. According to its officials, the Alliance will strive to establish links between the inhabitants of Essaouira and foreigners who reside in the Atlantic coastal town.

 

The renovation works on the building, offered to the Alliance by the municipality of Essaouira, cost over Euro 340,000 and were financed by the French city of Rochelle and the general council of the French region Hauts de Seine.

 

<i>Maghreb Arabe Presse</i> reports that during the inauguration ceremony, the Alliance president, has also announced that a fund (estimated at about Euro 200,000) will be established for the creation of a sophisticated media library that will hold some 5,000 documents.
