The Bittinger’s couldn't be any happier, when they received the news from Gulf Air that their five year old son, Audran, was the winner of the second  Million Miles draw from the Gulf Air Frequent flyer programme (FFP).

A computerised draw, held recently in the presence of a representative from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Gulf Air officials, chose Audran, a Blue tier member since 2001, as the winner from 35825 members, who flew between 1 and 30 October 2006

"I still cannot believe my luck in winning this fabulous prize from Gulf Air," says an extremely delighted Mrs. Bittinger. "Like so many other people I have never won anything before in my life, and now I win a prize that allows me to pick and choose when to travel back home to see my family– many times over,” she concluded.

"Since the relaunch of the Gulf Air Frequent flyer programme in September 2003, it has become very popular because of the generous rewards it offers," says Gulf Air Vice President Sales and Marketing, Lee Shave.

"This year we came up with a double-take opportunity, wherein our FFP members stand to win four prizes of one million miles in a three month promotion."

In the Frequent flyer programme’s biggest ever promotion, three draws will take place for passengers flying with Gulf Air between 1 September and 30 November 2006. In addition, a fourth draw will take place in December for all FFP members who have flown during the three month promotion period, so everyone has two chances to win.

Bahrain-based Norwegian businessman Eivind Fondenaer was the first winner of the airline’s biggest ever promotion.

"Gulf Air’s Frequent flyer programme has been a winner all the way”, adds Gulf Air Head of Marketing, Shane O'Hare.

"Gulf Air offers one of the most generous loyalty programmes in the airline business with benefits that include an extended mile life of 10 years, excess baggage allowance, priority check-in, priority baggage handling as well as priority waitlisting if our flights are full and lounge access depending on membership level."

The Gulf Air Frequent flyer programme Million miles winner will be able to travel for free, to any of the Gulf Air destinations worldwide while enjoying the luxury of First or Business Class cabins, its luxurious Sky Beds and the services of Sky Chefs. For instance, the winner can travel six times between London and Sydney, or use the miles for 55 return Economy Class flights within the Middle East or 10 return Business Class flights from Bahrain to Europe, or nine return Economy Class flights from Muscat to Sydney.
