General Tommy Franks on Monday made his first trip from the Central Command headquarters in Qatar since the Iraq war started 12 days ago, U.S. officials said. The Kuwaiti state news agency (KUNA) said Franks had arrived for a brief visit to inspect troops in Kuwait.
