A car bomb exploded on Baghdad's airport road Tuesday as a U.S. military convoy was passing by, injuring four US troops and destroying an armored Humvee, the U.S. military said.
Some 10 civilian vehicles were also wrecked in the explosion on the highway leading to the Iraqi capital's international airport, a police official said. According to The AP, he said there were civilian casualties.
Ambulances rushed at least two women, a child and three injured men to a nearby hospital, doctors said. American troops sealed off the area of the explosion as helicopters hovered overhead. (albawaba.com)
