Four members of the same family were killed and two others severely burned in a fire in a Cairo apartment block early Monday, police said.
A woman and her three children died, while her husband's second wife and her daughter living next door were hospitalized and are in serious condition. The husband survived unharmed.
The fire broke out in a sponge warehouse on the ground floor of the block in the central Sharabiya district. It took several hours to bring under control -- CAIRO (AFP)
