Four soldiers were killed and six were injured in a weekend ambush by suspected Islamic extremists in northeastern Algeria, newspapers reported Sunday.
The ambush occurred on Saturday between Skikda and Beni Bechir, around 500 kilometers east of the capital.
Elsewhere, a soldier was wounded in a bomb explosion Friday in Batna, about 430 kilometers southeast of Algiers, the APS news agency reported. (Albawaba.com)
